Ingredients

  • Ingredients for stuffing: • 250 gm mava
  • 1/2 inch cinnamon • 8-10 black pepper
  • 2-3 green cardamom • 1 black cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 5-6 cashew nut • 6-7 almonds
  • 8-10 pistachio
  • Ingredients for dough: • 2 cup maida
  • 3-4 tbsp ghee for rubbing • 1 pinch salt
  • Cold water as required
  • Ingredients for sugar syrup: • 1 cup sugar
  • Few threads of kesar • 1 cup water
  • Ghee for deep frying . Sugar powder as required

Instructions

  • 1. First of all, to make stuffing, roast mava till it turns light brown in color 2. After that add all the dry fruits & spices in it. Your stuffing is ready
  • 3. To make the dough, first of all rub the flour with ghee & knead stiff dough with cold water 4. Let it rest for 10 mins. Till then make sugar syrup similar to like that we make in Gulab Jamun (1/2 thread consistency)
  • 5. Take small ball from the dough & make small puris of it. Put the stuffing over it & make it like kachoris 6. Using hands make it flat slightly
  • 7. Heat ghee for frying. Fry the kachoris very lightly 8. After it gets cool down, again heat ghee & fry it till it turns light brown in color
  • 9. After kachoris cool down, make hole on it & pour about 1 tbsp sugar syrup in it, as in like pani puris
  • 10. Mava Kachori is ready to serve

Notes/Tips

Optional: Sprinkle sugar powder over it
