  • Rajma
  • Brown rice
  • Onions
  • Tomato
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Turmeric
  • Red chilli powder
  • Garam Masala
  • Corainder powder
  • Kasuri methi
  • Corainder leaves
  • Tomato and onion

Instructions

  • * Firstly, pressure cook the brown rice and rajma with adequate amount of water.
  • *In a pan, take two tablespoons of oil and put the sliced onions. Cook the onions till brown. Keep aside after getting off the excess oil from it. Grind it into paste and keep it aside.
  • * Take three tomato and grind it into a puree
  • * In a pan, take two tablespoon of oil add the tomato puree and cook it for 5 mins.
  • * Add the onion paste into the tomato puree and cook it for 10 mins.
  • Once the paste is cooked properly, add one tablespoon of turmeric powder, two tablespoon of red chilli powder, one tablespoon of corainder powder and salt as per taste.
  • * Let the puree cook with all the ingredients for 5 mins.
  • * Add the cooked rajma into the onion tomato puree. Let it cook for 5 mins till the water turns into a thick puree.
  • * Add one tablespoon of garam masala, kasuri methi to the cooked Rajma. * Add corainder to garnish. *

Notes/Tips

Wash and soak the brown rice 45 mins prior to pressure cook
