  • Rava
  • Oil
  • Ghee
  • Cashew
  • Mustard
  • Chana dal
  • Urad dal
  • Hing
  • Curry leaves
  • Ginger
  • Green chillies
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Curd
  • Coriander

Instructions

  • Heat oil and little bit of ghee in a pan add cashew nuts saute it till it gets brown color and transfers to bowl. In the same pan add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, hing, finely chopped curry leaves, ginger, green chilli, saute it for a minute then add semolina And fry the semolina in a slow flame till it gets a nice color, stirring in between. Transfer to a bowl, once it cools down then add sugar, salt, curd and enough water, chopped coriander mix it well. Heat the idly cooker with water and grease the idly plates with ghee and place the cashew nuts in the plate. Pour the mixture to the idly moulds and steam it for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot.
