Ingredients

  • Rava - 1 cup
  • Curd - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Mustard - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - as required
  • Turmeric powder -1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 tablespoon
  • Baking soda - as a pinch
  • Potato -2

Instructions

  • Add 1 cup rava, 1 cup yogurt, 1 cup water and soak for 10 minutes.After 10 minutes, add salt and baking soda and mix well.
  • For stuffing: Pour oil in a pan and add mustard, cumin, chopped onion, fry well.
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and fry well. Then add the boiled potatoes and stir well. Then roll it into a cylindrical shape.
  • Spread ghee or oil in a tumbler, pour a tablespoon of dough into it, with the potato stuffing in the middle, and pour a tablespoon of dough.
  • Then place it on a idli plate and cook for 10 minutes.
  • When cool, pour it on a plate and serve with coconut chutney in the desired shape.
  • Rava stuffed idli ready
