Raw mango mixed vegetable dal

Ingredients

  • Moong dal - 1 cup
  • Bottle gourd - 1 cup
  • Drumstick - 1
  • Raw mango - ¼ cup
  • Turmeric powder - ¼tsp
  • Chopped ginger -½tsp
  • Cumin powder - ½tsp
  • Dry red chilli - 2
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Cumin seeds - ¼tsp
  • Mustard oil -1tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves - few

Instructions

  • In a pressure cooker add oil and saute dry red chillies, ginger and cumin seeds.
  • Add chopped bottle gourd and drumsticks. Saute for few minutes and then add chopped raw mango
  • Now add washed moong dal and saute with turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt.
  • Add slitted green chillies and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  • Adjust the consistency. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot. Enjoy!!

Notes/Tips

1. If you wish, you can omit drumsticks. 2. Add vegetables of your choice. 3. Adjust the consistency.
