Ingredients

  • Cold milk - 2 cups
  • Cocoa powder - 2 tablespoon
  • Panangarkandu (Palm sugar) - 4 tablespoon
  • Red rice poha - 2 cup
  • Sapodilla - 4
  • Hot water - 10ml

Instructions

  • Rinse the poha under cold water to remove any impurities. Strain the water completely and keep it aside. The poha would get softened under cold water.
  • Next, take a small bowl and add the chopped sapodilla , panangarkandu(Palm sugar) and mix it well.
  • Now, transfer the sapodilla mix into the poha bowl and mix it well.
  • Meanwhile, take 2 cups of cold milk. Add this cold milk to the poha-sapodilla mix.
  • Take 10 ml of hot water and add cocoa powder to it(so that it would get mixed up well without any clumps). Whisk them well and add panangarkandu( palm sugar) to it.Finally pour them into the poha bowl!
  • Once done, serve it in a bowl and enjoy!

Notes/Tips

If you serve it with nuts and full fat milk, this breakfast recipe would keep you full till noon. However most of the recipes take some time to make, but this cold milk poha is an instant recipe. Good one for beginners and bachelors, all we do is just bring together all the ingredients, add cold milk and enjoy!!
