  • Basmati Rice, sugar, water, Ghee, cardamom powder
  • Saffron, badam n pista flakes, haldi powder,

Instructions

  • Take a bowl and soak 1 cup of rice in 4 cups of water for atleast 2 hrs...
  • Take a kadai..turn on the gas and put 2 tbsp Desi ghee in it..
  • After 2 mins when ghee is become hot put 4 cloves and 4 black papper in it..
  • Now drain rice and put them in the kadai and add 2.5 cups of fresh water..Add pinch of haldi powder as well..
  • Cover the kadai with a plate and let rice cook for atleast 10 to 15 mins on a medium to low flame When rice is about to cook ( half se thoda jyada) add 1 cup of granulated sugar.
  • Cover it again. Let the sugar melt completely on low flame..After 5 mins add 1/2 tsp cardamom powder and 8 to 10 saffron threads.
  • Check the rice..if it is cooked properly sprinkle 1 tsp pista flakes and 1 tsp badam flakes..
  • Saffron Rice is ready to eat...serve in a bowl and garnish with some more pista, badam and cherry...

Notes/Tips

Do not over cook rice..
