  • Semiya
  • Sugar
  • Ghee
  • Cardamom
  • Cashew
  • Raisins
  • Water
  • Orange colour

Instructions

  • Heat a pan, add ghee and allow it to melt. Add cashew, raisins and roast them until they turn into a golden colour. Take them into a bowl and keep aside. In the same pan add semiya and roast on low flame until it turns into golden colour. Add water, stir well. Cook it for 5 minutes on low flame stirring occasionally. Add sugar and mix well. Allow the sugar to dissolve completely. Next, add a pinch of orange food colour and mix well. Cook on low flame until sugar is completely absorbed. Then cardamom powder roasted nuts and mix well. Once the mixture leaves the side of the pan, turn off the flame. Transfer into a serving bowl and enjoy Semiya Kesari when is hot or cold.
