  • Peanut
  • Sesame seeds
  • Cashew nuts
  • Cardamom
  • Jaggery

Instructions

  • dry roast peanuts, cashew and sesame seeds separately till it starts spluttering.
  • remove the skin of peanuts.
  • grind all peanuts, cashew and sesame seeds in to a coarse consistency.
  • now in a pan take jaggery and caramelize it properly. To check pour a few drops it in to cold water. If get breaks easily it means this is in right consistency.
  • now on a flat surface place butter paper and pour this mixture on it. Spread it evenly with the help of rolling pin.
  • Cut in to square pieces with the help of knife when it is hot. Let it cool for 15-20 minutes. Now you can enjoy these homemade healthy chikkis with your family.  

Notes/Tips

Cut chikki when it is warm. Once it gets hardens it will be difficult to cut . Jaggery should be caramalised properly. To check drop some in cold water. It gets hardens immediately and broke into pieces easily. This mean this is ready
