  • Sooji
  • Urad dal
  • Water
  • Baking soda
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Mustard
  • Curry leaves

Instructions

  • Take a bowl and add sooji wash it and soak in water. Then wash urad dal and soak for 3 hours. Then take a blender and add sooji,urad dal and blend into a batter using little water. Keep aside for 13 hours. Then whisk the batter well and add baking soda,salt. Take idly moulds and grease it with oil,then pour the batter in moulds and steam for 10-12 minutes. Heat tawa and add oil, mustard,curry leaves and saute well Then pour this on the cooked idly. And serve hot with coconut chutney.
