Ingredients

  • 500 gms okra
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 2 sprigS curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp roasted/baked chana dal
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds,
  • 1 byedgi chilli
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbspn grated coconut
  • 2 tsp + 2 tsp coconut/any vegetable oil
  • as per taste Pink salt

Instructions

  • Wash, clean the okras, wipe and pat dry them.(remove the head and the tail and chopped by 1inch. Heat a wok, add 2tsp oil and add the chopped okras to it and saute till becomes soft and remove it in a plate.
  • In the same wok, add oil, mustard seeds, let it splutter, cumin, asafoetida, green chillies, chana dal, urad dal,curry leaves, byedgi chilli and saute till dal becomes light brown
  • Add the sauteed bhindi, stir add salt cook for 1-2mins more. Switch off the flame,add lime juice and grated coconut.mix well
  • Okra/bhindi is ready to serve wdh phulka,or as a side dish to any meal.
