Ingredients

  • Softened butter 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Eggs 4
  • Flour/ maida 1 2/3rd cup
  • Salt 1/2 tspn
  • Baking powder 4 tspn
  • Vanilla essence 1 tspn
  • M8lk 2-3 tspn
  • Whipped cream 1.5 cup
  • Fresh Strawberry Jam 1/2 cup
  • Strawberries 1 cup
  • Powder sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 170 deg. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Beat eggs,1 egg at a time and add to the mix. Add dry ingredients,milk and vanilla essence and mix until combined. Bake in 2 seperate pans( 7 inch) for 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Lightly soak with water and sugar syrup. Spread jam,top with whipped cream and sliced strawberries. Repeat with the second layer. Sprinkle with powder sugar and garnish with fresh strawberries.
