Stuffed Nutella Cookies

Ingredients

  • 10 tsp Nutella spread
  • 1 +1/3rd cup maida (175 grams)
  • Half cup powdered sugar (100 grams)
  • 1 egg
  • Half cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2/3 rd cup chocolate chips (100 gms)
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  • Pour 10 tsp of Nutella, over a plate and freeze it for about half an hour.
  • Now take a large mixing bowl and add softened butter and sugar and whisk it turns until light and fluffy. Refer to the image below. In between whisking, add vanilla essence and continue whisking it again.
  • Then add an egg and combine everything well. Mix it until there are no more lumps.
  • Now keep a strainer over the bowl and add all the dry ingredients like maida, baking soda, cornflour and salt. Strain and start mixing everything.
  • Incorporate with a spatula, the dry ingredients into the butter mix in 2 times, donot over-mix the dough.
  • Then add the chocolate chips into the dough and combine everything well with the cookie dough.
  • Now remove the Nutella tray which you have kept in the freezer. Now with the help of an ice-cream scoop, scoop out the cookie dough. Flatten the cookie dough ball into a circle and place in the center a frozen scoop of Nutella.
  • Now fold the edges of the cookie dough circle around the Nutella stuffing and roll into a ball. Repeat the same with the rest of the dough. You'll get around 10 to 12 stuffed cookie balls.
  • Now take a plate and greese it with some oil. Then place the balls over the plate and refrigerate it for about half an hour.
  • Now for pre-heating, take a kadai with its base covered with salt and a stand over it.
  • Then cover it and pre-heat the kadai for 5 mins on high flame and then 3 mins. on medium flame.
  • After half an hour, remove the cookie plate from the refrigerator and place it over the stand and cover the kadai.
  • Bake it on a low flame for about 20 mins.
  • Remove the plate from the kadai, let it cool down completely. Then store it in an airtight container. Enjoy this new year with a completely different & chocolatey recipe. Enjoy this mouth-melting cookies with your family and friends.
