Instructions

  • Wash and pressure cook potatoes, once done mash it. Finely chop onion and coriander leaves. In a bowl add mashed potatoes, chopped onion, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, asafoetida, and salt. Mix everything well, keep it aside. Bajji batter: In a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, chili powder, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chili powder, asafoetida, and salt. Mix everything well, add water little by little, make a smooth batter. Stuffed chilli bajji: Rinse chillies, slit in the middle. Fill potato stuffing into the chilli. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan. Dip the stuffed chili in the batter, fry it in the hot oil, till golden brown. Serve hot.
