Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon besan flour
  • 1/4 cup fine semolina (Suji/Rava)
  • 5 Tablespoon ghee 3-4 saffron strands
  • 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 8-10 cashews
  • 1 tablespoon raisins

Instructions

  • Heat pan. Dry roast rava for a minute. Now add 2 tablespoon ghee and keep stirring continuously till light brown. Now add besan flour and keep roasting continuously. Add 2 tablespoon ghee more and keep stirring. Roast cashews and raisins along. Now add hot milk with saffron, stir and cover and cook for 2 minutes. Now add sugar and cardamom powder and keep stirring. Add 1 tablespoon ghee more and stir till the halwa leaves the pan. Garnish some cashews and serve
