  • 1/2 cup suji
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 almond slice
  • 5 cashew nuts chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Instructions

  • Pour 2 cup water in a swall sauce pan add sugar and bring it to boil
  • Take suji in a heavy based pan, add ghee and heat it over medium flame
  • Stir and mix using spatula. Roast it until golden brown. It will take anywhere between 8-10 minutes.
  • Reduce flame to low, slowly add boiled water and mix by stirring constantly.
  • Stir and cook to avoid any lumps formation.
  • Increase flame to medium and cook until all water gets absorbed. Add turmeric powder mix well.
  • Add cardamom powder mix well.
  • Stir until a semi consistency. Add dry fruits and mix well.
  • The suji halwa is now ready to serve. Garnish with chopped almond and cashew nuts
