- First heat the jaggery and water in a pan. Let the water boil till the jaggery melts. Then let it cool.
- In a bowl, add both flour, salt, sugar and water with melted jaggery and mix well. Then add cardamom powder, anise, soda and stir it well.
- Heat a nonstick pan and take a ladle full of the batter and pour it on to the pan. Making circle. Sprinkle on top it with crushed anise and dessicated coconut.
- When the net starts to fall, apply ghee and turn it sideways. Cook until golden brown on both sides.
