- Soak urad dal and raw rice for 2 hours.
- Grind them. (Important Note:without adding water)
- Grind them to a coarse thick paste.Add jaggery to the coarse batter little by little.(secret tip)
- Now grind them to a fine paste.
- Take a pan, heat the oil.
- Take lemon size urad dal paste, flatten it and drop slowly it into the heated oil.
- Fry them well on both sides till they get golden brown color. (Note: Fry them in a medium flame, so that vada will be well cooked)
- Remove them with a strainer. Hot hot sweet vada is ready to be munched!!
