Tawa Pulao with Extoic veggies

Ingredients

  • Oil 1 tbsp + 1 tsp + 1 tsp
  • Butter 1 tbsp + 1 tsp + 1 tsp
  • Ginger Chilli garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Onion paste 1 cup
  • Tomato puree 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Hing 1/4 tsp + 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp + 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Garm masala 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp + 1/2 tsp
  • Briyani / pulao masala 1 tsp
  • Cooked rice 2 cups
  • Onion 1
  • Exotic veggies 1 cup
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  • For gravy  Heat the pan add oil & butter then add the paste one by one & cook it well, then do the seasoning for gravy, try to keep the gravy dry as much possible.
  • For rice Heat the pan add oil & butter then cumin after the crackle of cumin add seasoning and cooked rice to it. Take care that masala doesn't get burn.
  • For exotic veggies  Heat the pan add oil & butter to it, then add veggies to it & season with salt and pepper. Veggies should be crunchy, don't over cook them.
  • For making tawa pulao  Now take a any huge tawa or big non stick tawa I have used dosa tawa. Heat the tawa, firstly saute the veggies by add few drops of oil or 1/2 tsp of butter on tawa for 4-5 mins, then arrange the veggies on the edges or Corner of tawa.
  • In same manner saute the rice too and arrange them like a veggies 
  • Now take 1 tsp of oil and a gravy to saute, saute for 2-4 mins, and generously try to mix the veggies and rice with gravy and keep sprinkling some water to add moisture to pulao 
  • Serve the hot popping pulao with boondi raita.

Notes/Tips

Note: At time of tawa keep the flame high and be speedy that pulao doesn't get burn.
