Ingredients

  • To make a Bottle Guard Halwa :

  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp milk powder
  • Cardamom powder
  • To make Carrot Halwa:
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp milk powder
  • To make Rabadi :
  • 1/2 litre milk
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Dryfruits for garnish

Instructions

  • To make the Bottle Guard Halwa : Peel & cook the grated bottle guard with ghee on the pan for 1 minute and then add the milk. Cover and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes. When the milk is completely absorbed, add sugar. Once the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens, turn off the heat and add cardamom powder and milk powder. The Bottle Guard Halwa is ready.
  • To make Carrot Halwa : Cook grated carrots with ghee in a pan for 2-3 minutes , then add milk. Cover and cook on low flame for 5-8 minutes. When the milk is completely absorbed, add sugar. Once the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens, turn off the heat and add cardamom powder and milk powder. Carrot Halwa is ready. (I have taken orange carrots here so the saffron color of the tricolor is beautiful)
  • To make Rabadi : Boil the milk in a pan on gas till the milk thickens. Then add sugar, cardamom powder. Turn off the heat and let the rabadi cool. So Rabadi is ready.
  • To make Tiranga Shots : Take a glass, first layer of 2 tbsp bottle guard halwa and press it. Add second layer of Rabadi and let it set in the freeze for 5 minutes. Then add a third layer of carrot halwa. Garnish with dried fruits on top.
  • Tiranga Shots are ready ....

Notes/Tips

You can also use red carrots instead of orange carrots.
