Ingredients

  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Dariya dal 3 tbsp
  • Dry coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves 8-10
  • Hing 1/4 tsp
  • Urad dal 1 tsp
  • Garlic 3-4 cloves
  • Dry spicy Red chilli 3-4
  • Dry Kashmiri red chilli 3-4
  • Slice onion 2
  • Slice tomatoes 3
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Kashmiri red Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Water for cooking
  • Tempering: Oil 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Hing 1/4 tsp
  • Urad dal 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves 4-5

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in pan add all the ingredients one by one and saute for 1-2 minutes
  • Now add onion, cook till transparent, then add tomatoes and cook it completely by add all the ingredients.
  • Cool at room temperature and grind it
  • Now do the temper and add the temper in it.
  • Serve it with idli, dosa or vada.

Notes/Tips

To make less spicy add only dry Kashmiri red chilli.
