- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and sauté till the seeds change colour. Add ginger and garlic, mix and sauté well. Add onions, mix and sauté till translucent. Add tomatoes and mix. Add salt, mix well, cover and cook till soft and pulpy. Add chilli powder and garam masala powder, mix well, cover and cook till the ghee separates. Add green peas, coriander leaves, rice, 3 cups water and salt, mix, cover and cook till rice is fully done. Garnish with coriander spring and serve hot.
