Ingredients

  • 2.5 cup milk
  • 2 cup milk powder
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2-3 drop green food colour
  • 1/4 cup coconut powder
  • As needed Saffron Stands
  • As needed Chopped Pistachio
  • as needed Sliver vark

Instructions

  • First heat the ghee in a pan. Now add milk to this pan and let it boil on high gas flame. Now when the milk boils, slow down the flame of the gas, add a little milk powder in it and keep stirring and mix the milk powder in the milk so that no lumps remain. Take it with Spoon the milk cream on the side of the pan and add it.
  • Now add sugar and coconut powder and mix well, stirring constantly so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Now after 10 to 12 minutes the mixture thickens a little so add cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Now when the mixture thickens and starts leaving the side of the pan, turn off the gas flame at this stage. Pour this mixture into three equal parts in a small bowl. Now add orange food colour and saffron Stands in one part in a two part bowl and mix. In another bowl add green food colour, pistachio and mix. The mixture of the third part of the bowl has to be kept white.
  • Now grease a square tin with ghee, put butter paper in it and also grease it with ghee. First upon set green colour mixure in tin. Then set the white and orange mixture on this mixture. Now let this set in the fridge for 2 hours. After 2 hrs put sliver vark on top and cut into square shape.
  • Now our Tricolor Burfi is ready to serve..
