Ingredients

  • Cabbage
  • Vegetable oil
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Vinegar
  • Black pepper
  • All purpose flour

Instructions

  • To prepare this easy recipe, mix all-purpose flour and salt and knead to a stiff dough with water. Divide it into three parts and add a few drops of edible colour in the water while kneading. You can use the colours of the Indian flag in making your dimsums.
  • Next, put a pan over medium flame and heat oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add the finely chopped onion and garlic. Saute for 1-2 minutes and add the vegetables.
  • Turn around over high heat till slightly cooked. Once it is done, take it off the heat and mix in the salt, vinegar and black pepper.
  • Roll the dough thin (translucent) and cut into 4-5 inches rounds. Wet the edges, place some filling in the centre and bring edges together to cover the filling. Press to seal and it will form a half-moon shape.
  • Steam for about 10 minutes and serve.

Notes/Tips

To make the dimsums more interesting you can stuff them with some cheese. You can add paprika to filling to give it feiry taste.
