Ingredients

  • Water melon rind crescents
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Organic food colors Red, orange, green and yellow
  • Vanilla essence

Instructions

  • To a thick bottomed pan, add sugar and water and prepare syrup of one string consistency, add vanilla essence. And let it cool down completely.
  • De-skin watermelon rind and remove the red part if any.. Wash them thoroughly and pat dry them. Chop them into as small cubes as possible.
  • Now boil the chopped watermelon rind 80% Starin of the water.
  • Now to a thick bottomed pan add boiled watermelon rind cubes and prepared sugar syrup and get it to boil until the rind cubes turns translucent.
  • Let it cool down partially. Now divide the rind cubes into 4 portions. Adding 4 organic food colors to 4 portions.. Dry them in a cool place for 8 hours minimum.
  • Store them in a container as use when needed.

Notes/Tips

Mix colored Tutti frutti only when needed for preparations. Else just store them separately
