- Take a heavy bottom pan and roast all the grains and dals separately on a low to medium heat till they turn light brown. Now keep it aside for cooling. Then grind all the mix grains into a coarse powder. Take a cup of flour and add turmeric powder , asafoetida, salt, ginger, chili and yogurt. The batter should be of thick consistency. Mix well and keep aside for two hours. Heat oil for deep frying. Once the oil gets hot make small rounds of the vada and slide it into the hot oil over medium heat. Deep fry till crispy and golden. Transfer the vada on tissue paper. Serve the vadas along with green chutney.
