Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown rice
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 150-200 ml water
  • 3-4 tsp dates syrup
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 15-20 almonds
  • 8-10 dry dates
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp chopped almonds (for garnishing)
  • little cinnamon powder
  • little nutmeg powder

Instructions

  • Soak the brown rice for 3-4 hours. Drain the water and grind roughly. Finely grind the almonds and dry dates. Take a deep pan and keep the water for heating. When the water becomes hot, add the ground brown rice and cook stirring occasionally till soft.
  • Add the dates syrup and mix well. Cook for 1 minute. Add coconut milk, almond powder, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, and nutmeg powder. Cook for 5 minutes stirring continuously.
  • Serve hot or cold garnished with chopped almonds.

Notes/Tips

You can adjust the dry dates and dates syrup according to your taste.
