Instructions

  • Peel and grate boiled potatoes. Mash boiled green peas. Squeeze out excess water of Blanched spinach and finely chopped. Take a pan add oil, whole garam masala, cloves, cinnamon, shahi jeera, red chilli, chopped coriander, and chana dal. After some time add chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies. Then add chopped onion, steam part of mint and coriander leaves. Add green peas, mint, coriander, boiled spinach, and some grated paneer, boiled potatoes, and add salt as per taste, mix it well. Take a mixing bowl add bread crumbs, Chat masala, roasted chana dal. Rest of the seasoning and it required use the blender to combine the ingredients. Divide the mixture into equal portions. shape them into a ball and then press it in between your palms to flatten it. These are now called tikkis. Dust it with a little-roasted chana dal, chat masala, and mix it and make into equal portion. Heat oil in a pan add the tikkis and shallow fry them. Serve hot with pickle or yogurt chutney.
