- For making masala paste Heat oil in pan add all the ingredients one by one and cook for 5 -10 minutes. Now cool at room temperature completely and grind a fine paste.
- For dal Take big pot add all the vegetables except onion and tomatoes, season with salt and turmeric, now allow to cook the vegetables. After that add onion tomatoes dal and above masala paste with remaining ingredients and again cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Now do the tempering by heating oil in pan, adding the ingredients of the same in it.
- Now add temper to a boiling dal.
- Serve it hot with Idli or rice
