Ingredients

  • Basmati rice 4 cups,potatoes,cauliflower,carrots,
  • Ginger garlic paste,curd two cups,lemon juice,
  • Lavang, dalchini,shajeera,masala powder,salt
  • Turmeric,water,oil

Instructions

  • Fry the vegetables separately and keep in a bowl
  • Add ginger garlic paste,salt,lime juice and curd
  • Fry the onions in the rest over oil and add to the vegetables along with the rest of the spices and mix well
  • Boil rice in the water adding salt, lavang and dalchini salt
  • Put the vegetable mix in thick flat vessel pour half boiled rice over it in two to four layers repeating the process
  • Cover the vessel with aluminium foil and put the lid
  • Keep it on slow flame and cook for half an hour until the rice is fully cooked
  • Add ghee and kothimmeera in the end

Notes/Tips

Slow to medium heat is important Keep the vessel in a pressure cooker and cook it too without keeping the whistle
