  • Moong dal
  • Rice
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Ghee
  • Cumin
  • Pepper
  • Cashew
  • Ginger
  • Hing
  • Curry leaves

Instructions

  • add moong dal and raw rice in a pressure cooker.saute for a minute. add water and salt. mix well. cover and pressure cook for 3 whistles on medium flame. once the pressure settles down, open the cooker and give a good mix. in a pan heat ghee also add cumin, asafoetida,curry leaves, black pepper, ginger and cashews,red chilli powder,raddish and add water and saute on low flame until cashew turns golden brown. pour the tempering over cooked rice and dal mixture. give a good mix, add more ghee if required. serve hot.
