Vermicelli upma

Ingredients

  • Vermicelli
  • Chopped green chilli ,onion,carrot,capsicum tomato
  • Tomato sauce
  • Lemon
  • Maggi magic masala
  • Corriander leave
  • Salt
  • Ghee/oil

Instructions

  • Take a pan add 1 tsp ghee roast the vermicelli till it turns golden in colour, then add water and boil it once the vermcelli is partially cooked turn off the flame.
  • Use strainer wash the vermicelli and drain extra water from it and then allow it to cool down.
  • Take another pan heat it and add 3 tsp oil in it. Add curry leaves, chopped green chilli cook it for 30 mins.Add chopped onion, carrot, capsicum and tomatoes and cook it for 2 mins ( Dont over cook the vegetable)
  • Add salt , you can add roasted peanut also (optional), tomato sauce, maggi magic masala and mixx it well ,Now add the boiled vermicelli into it and mix well .
  • Squeeze the lemon and cook it for 1 minute and turn off the flame. Add corriander leaves and serve it hot.

Notes/Tips

Instead of roasted peanut you can use green peas or boiled corn. If you dont have lemon at home just add 1 tsp of vinegar.
