- Wash and soak moong dal over night with two cup of water/ Pressure cook green moong dal with one cup of water,after 4 - 5 whistle turn off the flame/
- Once cooled grind coarsely. Heat a pan with jaggery and water to boil,once boiled add the moong dal and cardamom powder and mix it well,make the powder cinnamon and sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon powder
- Add milk and cook for five mins and turn off the flame Heat clarified butter in a pan add cashew nuts,raisins and grated coconut fry it and add into the payasam
- Garnish with fried cashew nuts
