Generally, this sweet is made from Rajasthan. Its process is long. It is made quickly. I have put walnuts in it. So that children are able to eat. But you can feed the children by putting walnuts in this way.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup besan
  • 11/2 tbsp sooji
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 /2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 3 whole walnut chopped
  • 1/2 cup jaggery

Instructions

  • Put ghee in a pan and keep it for heating. When the ghee is hot, add gram flour. Now cook on low flame till golden color comes.
  • Now add semolina and cook for a while. Now turn off the gas. Now add walnuts. And keep stirring. Now add jaggery. Now add cardamom powder and mix well. Everything has to be done by turning off the gas.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Now put it in a greased plate and set it. When it cools down, cut into pieces.
  • Garnish with Silver Varrakh
  • Walnut Besan Barfi is ready.

Notes/Tips

Roast the gram flour on low flame till it turns pink in color. You can store it for 15 to 20 days. It looks like you have brought it from sweet shop with delicious.
