Ingredients

  • 1 bowl yam
  • 3 tbsp besan
  • 4-5 green chilli
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder

Instructions

  • Peel the skin of the yam and add the yam,salt and lemon juice in a pressure cooker and boil it for 2-3 whistles.
  • In a Blender add garlic, ginger, green chillies,coriander,salt and make a paste.
  • Now mash the Yam and add turmeric, cumin, coriander,Chilli powder and the blended paste and mix it well.
  • Add besan for binding, mix well and make small tikkis in round shape.
  • Keep the tikkis is ready and Shallow fry them on a pan by adding little oil and by turning them both the sides till golden brown.
  • Serve them with chutney,sauce and garnish with coriander leaves
