- Peel the skin of the yam and cut into thick pieces.
- Add yam pieces, 1/2tsp salt, lemon juice and water in a pressure cooker and boil it for 1 whistle on high flame.
- Remove it in bowl, add salt, red chilli powder, Coriander powder, 0garam masala, amchur powder curd and besan mix well.
- Heat a tawa /pan and grease it with oil. Take the masala coated yam pieces and arrange it on the tawa in single layer. Pour little oil around the pieces and cook on low-medium flame till golden brown.
- Now spicy chatpata yam fry is ready to serve.
