Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup moong dal
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tomato chopped finely
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 3/4 tsp haldi powder
  • 1/2 inch ginger finely chopped
  • as per taste Salt
  • 1 tsp Jeera
  • 4-5 garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 tsp oil

Instructions

  • Wash the dal and put in the pressure cooker with enough water, add onion, tomato, haldi powder, salt, green chili, ginger,
  • Oil and curry leaves and pressure cook for two to three whistles. Let the pressure release on its own
  • Cook the dal on a medium flame for 5 mins. Off the flame. Serve it with jeera rice
  • Then whisk the dal. Heat oil in the tadka pan when hot add jeera then add chopped garlic fry till light brown, then pour it on the dal.
