- To Bake the cake, mix 100 grams salted butter and 3/4 cup granulated sugar with 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
- beat the butter and sugar well with the vanilla
- add in 2 eggs and whisk well
- add in all the dry ingredients and mix well
- add 2/3 cup milk and mix well
- Whisk the batter till smooth and a thick consistency is reached
- pour the batter into the prepared baking tin
- bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees or until the cake is fully done
- cool the cake once it is baked
- to make the pudding, mix 2/3 cup cornflour with 1/2 cup water
- add water (2 cups + 1/2 cup), sugar (1 cup + 1/2 cup) and 1 cup cocoa powder to a heated saucepan
- whisk the contents of the saucepan until smooth and bring them to a boil
- add 1 tbsp honey and the cornflour slurry
- mix until it is thick over medium heat
- turn off heat and add 70 grams butter
- keep whisking
- add 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract and mix well
- keep the pudding aside to cool
- once the cake and pudding have both cooled, spread the pudding on the top as well as the side of the cake until the cake is fully covered
- refrigerate the cake for a few hours and serve chilled
