Chocolate french toast Rolls

Ingredients

  • Eggs 2
  • Vanilla essence 5 drops
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Bread 5 slices
  • Sugar 2 tbsps
  • Icing sugar To dust
  • Chocolate sauce /Spread/ peanut butter For 5 Slices
  • Fresh strawberries 2-3
  • Mint leaves Garnish
  • Butter 2 tsps

Instructions

  • In a bowl, take the eggs crack, add milk, vanilla essence & sugar and whisk. Keep aside.
  • On a cutting board, cut out the corners of the bread slices & roll out to get thinner slices.
  • Spread the chocolate sauce/spread or chocolate peanut butter on the slices & roll them up (like a Swiss roll)
  • Dip the rolls in the egg mixture that was kept aside.
  • In a pan, heat some butter & put in the bread rolls and leave it to caramelize on one side & turn.
  • Once all the sides are cooked not caramelised but hold their shape take it out.
  • Dust some icing sugar on the rolls.
  • Granish with strawberries & some mint leaves
  • Serve Hot ❤️

Notes/Tips

* Do not brown the butter. * Use salted butter for contrast in flavor. * Can use any jam if not chocolate. * Can use any fruit if not strawberry. * The fresh fruits & mint is to cut through the sweetness
