Chocolate Strawberry Chilly Whisky Cake

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour 1 cup
  • Chocolate chips 3 tbsps
  • Cocoa powder 2 tsp
  • Strawberry ¼ cup
  • Red chilly (fresh) 1
  • Whisky 60 ml
  • Yogurt ¼ cup
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Baking soda ½ tsp
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Vanilla essence ½ tsp
  • For chocolate Sauce: Chocolate ¼ cup
  • Cocoa powder 2 tsp
  • Milk 2 tbsps

Instructions

  • Grease a cake pan and preheat oven @180 for 10 mins.
  • In a mixing bowl add the curd and baking soda and mix well. Keep aside for 10 mins.
  • In a blender take the strawberry, chilly, whisky, sugar and blend it to a puree.
  • Sieve the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and keep aside.
  • Now add the oil, vanilla essence and the blended puree to the curd mixture and mix well.
  • Add in the flour mixture and gently fold to make a smooth batter.
  • Add in the chocolate chips reserving few for garnish and give a gently quick fold.
  • Pour the batter into the greased pan, garnish with few chocolate chips.
  • Bake at preheated oven @180° C For 30-35. A Tooth Pick Inserted Should Come Out Clean.
  • Remove the cake From Oven And Let It stabd for 10 minutes. Demould and allow to Cool Down Completely.
  • For Chocolate sauce : In a sauce pan heat the milk. Add the chocolate chips and heat till chocolate starts to melt. Turn off the heat. Add the cocoa powder and mix well till smooth. Your chocolate sauce is ready.
  • garnish the cake with sliced strawberries. In a pipping bag pour the chocolate sauce and drizzle it over the cake. Cut and serve.

Notes/Tips

You can substitute the whisky with alcohol of your choice like rum, brandy, wine etc.
