Instructions

  • Preheat the oven at 350F/180C for 15 minutes. Lightly grease 6 inch pan and line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix in the sugar.
  • Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and stir in the the wet ingredients one by one. Stir the mixture together using a whisk.
  • Pour the batter in the prepared pan and tap the pan to even it out and break the air bubbles if any.
  • Bake it for 25-35 minutes.

  • Now on each layer spread ganache. Once all the layers done, cover the cake with the remaining ganache and freeze the cake in refrigerator for 15 mins.
  • Now roll out white Fondant in the size to cover the whole cake. Cover the Cake.
  • Add gel color to small portions of fondant and make desired Christmas themed toppings for the cake and decorate the cake. You can use store bought confetti for decorations.

Notes/Tips

Prepare the fondant toppings before, it will hold the Shape and will be easy to handle and save time too. Do not keep fondant cake in refrigerator as it will absorb moisture and will not taste good. White chocolate ganache works well when we are covering the cake with white fondant.
