Ingredients

  • Broken wheat 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoons
  • Ghee 2 tablespoons
  • Water 2 cup
  • Almonds for garnishing

Instructions

  • Heat ghee in a pan, add broken wheat and sauté till it becomes golden brown.
  • Now add 2 cups of warm water, mix well and cook on medium flame till soft.
  • It takes around 15 minutes, stir in between.
  • Add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Cook till sugar water is absorbed and ghee is released from the sides of pan.
  • Your lapsi is ready. Serve in a bowl and garnish with almonds.
