- Heat ghee in a pan, add broken wheat and sauté till it becomes golden brown.
- Now add 2 cups of warm water, mix well and cook on medium flame till soft.
- It takes around 15 minutes, stir in between.
- Add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well.
- Cook till sugar water is absorbed and ghee is released from the sides of pan.
- Your lapsi is ready. Serve in a bowl and garnish with almonds.
