Ingredients

  • Warm water 1/2 cup
  • White sugar 1 teaspoons
  • Warm milk 3/4 cup
  • Yogurt 3/4 cup
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Plain flour 4 cup
  • Baking powder 1 teaspoons
  • Salt 1 teaspoons
  • Melted butter 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic cloves, minced 2 units
  • Freshly chopped cilantro or parsley 1 teaspoons

Instructions

  • Take a bowl add purpose flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, yogurt, milk and knead a soft dough.
  • Grease another bowl with oil and transfer the dough in the greased bowl. Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour in a warm place.
  • Divide the dough in 10 equal balls and roll the balls in an oval shape.
  • Take a large pan, grease the pan with oil and heat the same at medium flame.
  • Place the naan and cook until bubbles starts to form on the top side, brush the top with little oil and repeat the same with other side until golden in colour.
  • Remove the naan from the pan and wrap them in a kitchen towel until you cook the other naans.
  • Mix the melted butter and mince garlic cloves in a bowl. Brush the naan with the mixture and top with fresh cilantro.
  • Serve hot with any curry.
