Ingredients

  • Gram flour
  • 1/4 tbsp carrom seeds
  • 1/4tbsp coriander
  • 1/4 tbsp turmeric
  • 2-3 bay leaf
  • 3-4 tbsp water
  • 2tbsp ghee

Instructions

  • FOR SABZI: • 2 tbsp oil • 1 tsp cumin / jeera • 1 tsp kasuri methi / dry fenugreek leaves • 1 bay leaf / tej patta • ½ tsp fennel / saunf • pinch hing / asafoetida • 1 onion, finely chopped • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste • ¼ tsp turmeric • 1 tsp  kashmiri red

Notes/Tips

INSTRUCTIONS Mix all ingredients aforementioned under gatte section in a bowl. Add water to knead the dough. Then make 5-6 cylindrical pieces of the dough and steam it in a pressure cooker. Finally, cut the steamed gatte into small pieces as shown in the image below:  Then, in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp oil and saute spices. Further, add 1 onion, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and saute to golden brown. Keeping the flame on low, add spices and saute well. furthermore, add 1 cup water and 1 cup curd.
