Ingredients

  • Refined flour (Maida) 2 cups
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Yeast 1.5 tsp
  • Warm water 1/4th cup
  • Salt 3-4 tsp
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Tomatoes 5-6 medium size
  • Onion 5-6 medium size
  • Ginger 2-3 pieces
  • Garlic 2-3 pieces
  • Oregano and chilli flakes 1 cup
  • Butter 1 tsp
  • Paneer 200 gm ( cube )
  • Chicken 200 gm
  • Red chilly powder 2-4 tsp
  • Chicken masala 1 tsp
  • Paneer masala 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 2 tsp
  • Kasturi methi 2 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Turmeric powder(Haldi) 2 tsp
  • Garam masala 2 tsp
  • Jeera powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander 2 tsp
  • Capsicum 5-6 medium size

Instructions

  • For making pizza base : Pour warm water (1/4th cup) in a bowl , add 1 tsp of sugar and 1.5 tsp of yeast in it , mix it well and let the yeast froth up. (Say about 10 mins ) .
  • In a mixing bowl add 2 cups refined flour and 1/2 tsp salt , mix well and add warm water gradually and the yeast mixture , mix well and knead in a soft dough.Further add oil and knead until soft and smooth.
  • Apply a little more olive oil on the dough surface to prevent it from drying , cover with a cloth and rest for an hour in a warm place for the dough to proof. After proofing puncture the dough by kneading once again and keep it aside for making pizza base.
  • For making pizza sauce : Make a cross on the tomato base, set a pan for boiling water and add tomatoes and boil them for about 5-10mins.Peel the skin and roughly chop them. Transfer the tomato into grinding jar and grind to a fine purée.
  • Set a pan on medium heat. Add oil , onion and garlic , sauté until onions are translucent.Add tomato purée , salt and pepper and stir and cook for 10 minutes until sauce thickens. Add red chilly flakes and oregano and stir well. Homemade sauce is ready .
  • Rest the paneer tikka masala for about 15-30 mins and you can either grill them or fry them as per your choice . I prefer to grill them, tastes amazing .
  • Chicken tikka masala : Take a bowl add oil, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt , ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, black pepper, Kasturi methi , jeera powder, chicken masala, egg mix it well and put boneless chicken pieces into it , mix it again .
  • Rest the chicken tikka masala for about 15-30 mins and you can either grill them or fry them as per your choice . I prefer to grill them, tastes amazing .
  • Toppings : Cut onions and capsicum in any shape which you want and sauté them with butter and pinch of salt and pepper for about 10 mins .
  • Assembly : Sprinkle some flour and flatten the dough balls with hands into a flat pizza bread. Slide your pizza over the hot baking tray and bake it. I have used an otg which is quite high in temperature so I have not pre heated it .
  • Partly heat your pizza bread remove it from the baking tray, place chapati or tortilla above it apply pizza sauce, drizzle some good amount of cheese, add both toppings and bake it as per the crust you want .Drizzle some cheese for the last time.
  • Voila your half and half pizza is ready !! Made from scratch , super tasty and loved by non-vegetarians.

Notes/Tips

1)Half and half pizza is enjoyed especially by non vegetarians who crave for chicken a bit more than panner but can’t ignore paneer . They can enjoy both the flavours in one pizza. 2)If you are using an oven then baking the pizza base would be bit different . 3)Seems to be time consuming but worth it. 4)Everything is made from the scratch but you can add toppings of your choice and can beautify it as per you want . 5)Don't be in a rush and enjoy the process .
