Ingredients

  • Buckwheat Flour 1 cup
  • Tapioca Flour 2 Tbs
  • Nestle Milkmaid 1/2 tin
  • Eggs 2
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder 1 Tbs
  • Vanilla Essence 1 Tsp
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 Tsp
  • Nutmeg powder 1/2 Tsp
  • Olive oil 1/2 cup
  • Rose water 2 Tbs
  • Dried Rose Petals 2 Tbs
  • Chopped Pistachios 1 Tbs

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to 180 degrees.
  • Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl, mix well. Separate the eggs. Add the condensed milk, water,1 tbs of rose water, egg yolks and oil.
  • Whisk the eggs. Fold the egg white into the mixture- Spoon into a greased cake pan or a cake mould.
  • Sprinkle the top with the pista and rose petals. Bake for 25-30 mins. Once baked, remover and sprinkle the top of the cake with the remaining rose water. Allow to cool - slice and enjoy!!

Notes/Tips

Buckwheat has a nutty flavour and is slightly drier than a maida cake, don’t let it floor you it is equally delicious and extremely healthy.
