  • moong dal 1 cup
  • ghee 3 tbsp
  • dried coconut grated 3 tbso
  • cashew nuts 8 nos
  • almonds 5 nos
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • water 4 cups
  • badam powder (optional) 1 tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • walnut 2 nos

Instructions

  • Take a pressure cooker switch on the stove add 1 Tbsp. of ghee. let the flame be on medium flame add 1 cup of moong dal Fry the dal for 5 mins on medium flame once the dal turns golden brown add water 1:2 ratio cup of water and pressurize it for 3 whistles
  • Once the dal is cooked remove the whistle and leave the cooked dal to rest for 5 mins Once its cooled down switch ON the stove add the sugar and stir it for 3 mins sugar gets diluted and add 1/4 cup of water
  • the consistency should not be too thick nor too liquid . add 1tsp of cardamom powder add the dried cocnut grated and stir it for 3 mins crush the dry fruits
  • for tempering take a sauce pan add 1tbps of ghee add cashews , almonds, walnuts and 1 tbsp of dried cocunut grated and pour it
  • take a bowl and serve it with ghee upon it

Notes/Tips

adding more dry fruits is too good its good for summer appetite can add brown sugar or jaggery
