Ingredients

  • Kala chana 250 gm
  • Salt
  • Hing 1/4 tsp
  • Zeera 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped green chilli 4
  • Chopped onion 1 med sized
  • Chopped dhania patta 1tbsp

Instructions

  • Wash chana , soak in water overnight for 12 hours , strain it .
  • Take a pressure cooker , add chana & salt . Now add 1.5 cup water , place the lid , give 6 whistles on high flame . Turn off the flame , allow it to depressurise naturally .
  • Take a wok or deep bottom pan , add 1 tsp oil , heat it . Add hing & zeera , let it splutter .
  • Transfer boiled chana along with water into the wok or pan . Let it boil .
  • Add in red chilli powder & garam masala powder , mix it well .
  • Cook it until dry .
  • Take out in a bowl . Garnish it with green chilli chopped , onion chopped & dhania patta chopped .
  • All cooking has been done on high flame . A very healthy dish for breakfast..
