Ingredients

  • Finely chopped coriander 1 cup
  • Besan 1 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoons
  • Chilli powder 1/2 teaspoons
  • Ginger paste 1/2 teaspoons
  • Chilli paste 1/2 teaspoons
  • Hing 1/4 teaspoons
  • Oil 1 teaspoons
  • Salt as per taste
  • Roasted and crushed peanut powder 1/4 cup

Instructions

  • Combine besan, turmeric powder, chilli powder, ginger paste, green chili paste, hing, oil, salt and add 3⁄4 cup of water in a deep bowl and whisk well.
  • Add coriander and peanut powder and mix well.
  • Pour into a greased thali and steam it for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Cool and de-mould it and cut into equal pieces.
  • Heat the oil into a deep nonstick pan, add few pieces of kothimbir vadi and deep fry till they turn golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
