  • Whole spices Cumin seeds,cinnamon,cardamom,pepper,clove
  • Butter
  • Oil
  • Onion 2
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Green chilles 5
  • Garlic 2 Cloves
  • Ginger
  • Cashew nuts
  • Salt As per taste
  • Sugar 2tsp
  • Tumeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 2tsp
  • Coriander powder 1tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 2tsp
  • Boiled potatoes 2
  • Paneer 200gms
  • Corn flour 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves
  • Kasturi methi
  • Fresh cream 1/4 cup

Instructions

  • Heat a pan with some butter and oil,add the whole spices and fry them till the release the aroma.Add green chilles, onion,ginger, garlic and saute them.Add tomatoes, cashew nuts and saute till they are cooked
  • Add salt,sugar,red chilli powder, cumin powder,coriander powder,tumeric powder and saute it. Cook for 5 mins. After everything going cooked let it come to room temperature. And then grind it to a smooth paste ny adding some water.
  • Heat the same pan with butter add the pureed gravy, bring it to a boil and add garam masala,fresh cream,coriander leaves and kasturi methi. Mix everything well and set the gravy aside.
  • Take a bowl add boiled potatoes,grated paneer,chopped green chilles, salt,coriander leaves and mix well. Now add corn flour and mix well.
  • Take a small portion of the mixture center it with cashew nuts and turn it into round balls. Set it aside. Heat the oil for deep frying the balls.Deep fry the balls until they turn golden brown in colour
  • To assemble Malai kofta, place the kofta balls on a plate and pour the hot gravy over it just 5-10 mins before serving. Enjoy the delicious Malai kofta with naan or roti.
